Election Observation volunteers, Dennis McCaffrey gave a summary of the events of this election and the challenges to come.

VII. New Business
8:00 A. Budget suggestions/Activity suggestions for 2009. (Pass and share notebook which will be reviewed by the EC and given to the next Chair)
Possible considerations: Fairs, Registration, Mid-Valley and DPO networking, Office, Precinct work vs. fundraising, creative ways to make meetings and activities more inclusive. Email to Suzi Price with other ideas that occurred were requested. These will all be passed along to the new Chair and the P&R Committee Chair.
8:05 B. Consider Next Litter Patrol Pick up. No volunteers signed up. Fred Brown volunteered to organize next Highway Clean-up. (3 minutes and sign up sheet)
8:10 C. Solicitation for Polk Democratic Central Committee Officer Nominations: Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, Secretary. (To be voted on at next PCD CC meeting December 11 in West Salem.)
Jeanne Deane Nominating Committee Chair noted that Lani Kirby had volunteered for Vice Chair.
It was also noted that volunteers are needed for committee chair positions: Communications, Fundraising, & Platform/Legislative Action.
VIII. Consideration of reimbursement of some travel expenses for 2006-2008 Mid-Valley and DPO networking. Suzi Price noted the importance of including this in the 2009 budget.
